Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre will participate in the International Theatre Festival of Kerala (ITFoK) which will be held in India from January 20 to 24.

Vietnamese water puppetry to participate in Indian theatre festival

 

ITFoK is an annual international theatre festival. This is the first time Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre will participate in a professional festival.

Chu Luong, director of Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre, said they had prepared some of the most outstanding performances for the festival to introduce Vietnamese culture to the world. The audience can also find out more about the puppet making process at the festival.

Le Quy Duong, a member of the Executive Council of the International Theatre Institute and chairman of International Festival Forum, said "ITFoK is an international stage. I will do my best to boost the cultural and art co-operation to introduce the uniqueness of Asian countries, including Vietnam."

Fifteen theatres from around the world will participate in the festival.
